Cornell “Farm?” Do you have hay rides, a corn maze, fresh produce, and cut flowers?
Although we don’t have some things people might think of when they think of a farm — we do grow over 800 varieties of plants on our five acre grounds in our greenhouses. Plus, we have everything you need to create edible, eco-friendly and beautiful small spaces to large gardens.
We also offer some classic farm activities… don’t miss our chickens! You can purchase chicken treats and feed them at the coop, which is behind the yellow Café farmhouse. In fall, we offer a pumpkin patch complete with staff-made scarecrows. We also carry beautiful Christmas trees and seasonal decorations leading up to the holidays.
Additionally, the name Cornell Farm is historic to the business and site. You can read more about it here.
Who can I email to request a donation?
Please note: due to the large volume of requests we receive, our donations are limited to causes that directly relate to gardening and/or environmentalism.
Please send your donation inquiry to: info@cornellfarms.com.

What is that big, spiky tree in front of the cafe?
It is called a Monkey Puzzle Tree. Latin name: Araucaria araucana. Native to the Andes mountains of South America. Evergreen conifer that grows 50′ to 80′ tall and 20′ to 30′ wide. Hardy to zone 7. Full sun.
Our tree was brought as a seedling by South American ship captains to the 1905 Lewis and Clark Centennial Exposition.
It is the national tree of Chile. They were alive as far back as 200 million years ago, when they developed their spiny needles to protect from grazing animals. They have a lifespan of 1,000 years and grow on rocky slopes of volcanoes. Their fire-resistant bark can survive lava flows.
Male and female trees have different cone shapes, oblong for male and round for female. The female produces edible seeds, which take two years to mature.
You can have your very own Monkey Puzzle Tree! We sell them in a variety of sizes.
